Newly planted trees require minimum 20 mins on a slow trickle and shrubs require minimum 10 secs (x2) on a slow trickle. See chart above for frequency based on planting season.

Always water at the base of the plant!! Overhead watering can cause leaf scorch and produce more stress on the newly planted tree and/or shrub.

Watering deeply and thoroughly and only as needed will encourage a deep and healthy root system that will be able to withstand environmental stresses.

Apply 2 inches of mulch to retain moisture and reduce weeds.

Do not place mulch around a tree ring like a volcano. This will lead to fungus and eventually cause the tree to decline. It is like wearing a turtleneck in July!

Please call us at (330) 758-8889 with any watering questions or concerns. We do offer gator bags and donuts as a watering alternative.
