The compost facility at Ellott's Garden Center accepts the drop off of yard waste.
-Yard waste is only accepted during business hours.
-All yard waste must be source seperated. (grass clippings, leaves, brush and ornamental grass). Mixed loads will be turned away. All loads must be checked by an Elliott's Garden Center employee before dumping.
-Yard waste must be unloaded into the correct pile. See an Elliott's Garden Center employee for direction.
-Plastic bags are not accepted at the compost facility and must be emptied and removed from the property. Leaves are only accepted in loose bulk, or recycleable paper bags.
-Absolutely no trash is permitted. Drink contaners, lunch bags, glass, plastic etc. are unacceptable. Anyone disposing of trash will be asked to not return and legal action may be taken by Elliott's Garden Center.
The Compost Facility at Elliott's Garden Center is Free of Charge to Boardman Residents.
Contractors, and residents outside Boardman may either pay a fee per visit, or a yearly fee. Brush logs and Tree Trunks are not included in the yearly fee.
Yard Waste Accepted:
-Brush 4' or less in length
-Tip prunings from trees and shrubs
-Leaves (loose or in paper bags)
-Grass Clippings (loose only, no bagged grass)
-Wood Pallets which are clean (no oil, grease, or chemicals) and have no wrappings or straps attached for a fee
-Logs and tree trunks are accepted for an additional fee

-Hazardouse or Infectious Waste
-Industrial or Agricultural Waste
-Landscape Fabric / Weed Barrier
-Metal, Plastic, and Glass
-Treated Lumber or Fence Material
-Stumps and Root Balls
